What to expect on count day

We start counting the votes in the 2016 Mayor of London and London Assembly elections at 8am on 6 May. We'll post the final results of each London Assembly Constituency contest as they come in. Once all 14 Assembly Constituency results are in, the Greater London Returning Officer will announce the London Assembly list and Mayor of London results from City Hall.

Find out more about the different voting systems and how we count the votes.

Here’s how to stay up to date on the day:

BBC, ITN, Sky News and London Live will be reporting from City Hall all day and televising the Mayor and London-wide announcements.

Tune into BBC Radio London, LBC, BBC Radio 4 and 5 Live for all the latest news.

You can see the Mayoral and London-wide Assembly Member result announcements live from City Hall.
