Only registered voters can vote in the elections on 1 May 2008.

The registration deadline for the May elections has now passed. However, you can register now to vote in future elections.

To register to vote, you need to fill in a simple form, giving your name, age, nationality and address. Once you've filled in and signed this form, send it to your local borough's elections office.

Paying council tax will not automatically include you on the electoral register. Although both are held by the council, the two lists are separate.
