Please find below the 2012 timetable for the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections. As statutory notices become available, they will also be posted onto this page.

Publication of Notice of Election Not later than Tuesday 20 March 2012
Delivery of nomination papers during normal office hours on any day after publication of Notice of Election Tuesday 20 March 2012
Last day for delivery of nomination papers Not later than noon on Wednesday 28 March 2012
Publication of statement as to persons nominated Not later than noon on Friday 30 March 2012
Delivery of notices of withdrawals of candidature Not later than noon on Monday 2 April 2012
Last day for notice of appointment of election agents Not later than noon on Monday 2 April 2012
Deadline for applications to be included on the register of electors to be used at the election Wednesday 18 April 2012
Last date for new applications to vote by post or to change existing absent vote details (e.g. cancellation, redirection of ballot papers etc) Not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18 April 2012
Last day for new applications to vote by proxy Not later than 5pm on Wednesday 25 April 2012
Notice of poll Wednesday 25 April 2012
Last day for notice of appointment of counting agents (and polling agents) Thursday 26 April 2012
Last day to make alterations to the Register, other than to correct a clerical error or to implement a court (registration appeal) decision Thursday 26 April 2012
Publish notice of alteration as a result of late applications Thursday 26 April 2012
First day of requests to replace lost postal ballot papers Friday 27 April 2012
Last day to issue replacement spoilt or lost postal ballot papers (where request received by post ) Not later than 5pm on Wednesday 2 May 2012
Last day to issue replacement spoilt or lost postal ballot papers (where returned by hand) Not later than 5pm on Thursday 3 May 2012
Last day to make alterations to the Register to correct a clerical error or to implement a court (registration appeal) decision Thursday 3 May at 9pm
Polling   Between the hours of 7 in the morning and 10 at night on Thursday 3 May 2012
Last day for the receipt of return of election expenses (assuming declaration of the result before midnight on Friday 4 May 2012) 70 days after declaration for Mayor and London Members. 35 days after declaration for Constituency Members.
