There are 25 London Assembly members in total. 14 of them are Constituency Assembly members who represent the different areas of London. Your borough will fall within one of these constituencies.

The remaining 11 are London–wide Assembly members who represent London as a whole.

Your yellow ballot paper lists all the candidates standing in your area for London Assembly Constituency Member.

There is a straight race between the local candidates in each of the 14 constituencies. The candidate with the most votes in each constituency wins.

Your peach–coloured ballot paper lists all the political parties and independent candidates standing in the London–wide Assembly contest. You vote for one party or one individual.

The 11 London-wide seats are the allocated. Each party is given a number of seats proportional to how many votes they won across London.
